REACH Program LLC is a privately owned, licensed outpatient substance abuse and mental health treatment provider serving Bullitt County from Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The organization is licensed as an Alcohol and Other Drug Entity (AODE) and takes a holistic approach to recovery, supporting multiple pathways to treatment for adults, adolescents, and families. REACH Program also offers virtual services across Kentucky, with a second office located in Bardstown.
Programs and Treatment Approach
The Shepherdsville office provides substance abuse treatment, mental health counseling, and prevention and education services using evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, the 12-step model, and the Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach. Specialized programming includes a 10-week Nurturing Parenting curriculum offered in evening sessions, a Voices program for females ages 12 to 18, an At Promise Youth program for adolescents, a women’s empowerment group, and Seeking Safety programming. The organization is an approved provider for the Department of Corrections Good Time Credit Program. DUI assessments and groups are not offered at the Bullitt County location; those services are available through the Nelson County office.
Family and Justice-Involved Services
The Bullitt County office operates the Families Moving Beyond Abuse program, an intensive initiative coordinated with Bullitt County Family Court and the Cabinet for Permanency and Protection. Originally established in 2010, the program serves parents at risk of losing custody or who have lost children to the child welfare system due to substance abuse, combining treatment, mental health services, parenting education, sober social events, family court coordination, and case management. Alumni receive ongoing support and may petition for charge reduction. REACH Program also delivers a substance abuse program twice weekly for women inmates at the Bullitt County Detention Center, a 40-bed residential program launched in 2023 in partnership with the jail and the Department of Corrections.
