A Supportive Recovery Residence for Women
Saint Anne’s Home operates out of a refurbished single-family house offering both single and multiple occupancy rooms, with amenities that include central air conditioning, on-site laundry, internet, and cable access. The location provides convenient access to public transportation, including city bus routes and the CTA Red Line. Professional staff assist residents with mental, physical, and spiritual transition planning as they work toward living independently and substance-free. The home is managed by a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and led by an executive director who holds a Certified Reciprocal Alcohol Drug Counselor license and brings over twenty years of experience in substance abuse counseling and clinical supervision.
History and Mission
The concept for Saint Anne’s Home was first envisioned in the early 1980s by Mother Mary Margaret of the Order of Saint Anne Chicago. After nearly four decades of planning and fundraising by the order, the home opened its doors in 2017. Its mission centers on providing women recovering from chemical dependency a wholesome and supportive environment, with the goal of empowering residents to live responsibly, independently, and substance-free.
