Self-Inc. provides outpatient counsel and case management services to homeless and criminal justice clients. Their counselling programs employ a comprehensive set of approaches, which aims to prevent and control further issues such as substance abuse and other illnesses. They also use a Low Barrier approach to therapy, which allows the client to receive counselling where they are. This approach is efficient for homeless clients that live in shelters or criminal justice clients that have been on probation basis. It also eliminates any extra expenses the client may need to travel to the recovery facility. Their services offer preferential treatment to the homeless and offer them immediate housing, after which counselling is offered to improve the quality of life. The homeless clients will also be offered case management services to ensure a safe journey to become a proper citizen. The counselling service in this community also employs Person-Centered/Trauma-Informed Care to the clients under their care; it guides them emotionally, psychologically, and physically.
