Sierra Sage Recovery Services is an outpatient addiction treatment center in Las Vegas, Nevada, focused on serving Nevada Medicaid members who are living with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. The CARF-accredited center offers several levels of care, from a partial hospitalization program to intensive outpatient, standard outpatient, and aftercare. It operates as part of Sierra Sage Wellness Group, which also includes a counseling practice and a behavioral health publisher.
Levels of Care
The partial hospitalization program is the center’s most intensive option, with clients attending treatment about five days a week for at least six hours a day while returning home each evening. This level offers much of the structure of residential care, including individual and group therapy, while giving clients the chance to practice new skills in their everyday surroundings. The intensive outpatient program meets for several hours each week over a set number of weeks, helping clients identify triggers, build coping and problem-solving skills, and develop a support system while keeping up with work, school, and family. Standard outpatient care generally meets once or twice a week with a mix of group and individual sessions focused on relapse prevention, and it can suit people in early recovery, those stepping down from a higher level of care, or those who have struggled with repeated relapse. An aftercare program continues therapy after primary treatment to help clients maintain their progress.
Treatment Approach and Co-Occurring Care
Sierra Sage treats substance use and mental health together, on the view that both need attention at the same time for recovery to hold, and co-occurring treatment is available across its partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs. Therapy combines individual and group sessions with approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational enhancement therapy. The center works with people struggling with alcohol, opioids, methamphetamine, cocaine, benzodiazepines, prescription drugs, and other substances. Admission begins with a free phone screening, and the center accepts several Nevada Medicaid plans, including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Plan of Nevada, SilverSummit, and Molina Healthcare.
