Specialized Assistance Services

Specialized Assistance Services were established in 1976 to treat substance abuse in individuals and families of the local area. Being a non-profit organization, it offers its services at incredibly cheap rates so all members of the community may find refuge there. Their recovery program consists of a comprehensive level of care; it includes various phases of services for specialized assistance. They offer outpatient and inpatient services that include assessment, counseling, and various other treatments. They also provide case management services and mental health counseling. These services are also available to pregnant women and individuals with HIVE/AIDS.

The city of Chicago, the surrounding areas, and the entire state of Illinois for that matter is currently struggling with the single most damaging and dangerous addiction problems out there.  The Specialized Assistance Services works hard to help people, and this treatment center is especially engaging and workable in the services that they provide to people.

The Outpatient program provides treatment to a specialized population, as well as the general population. The major categories include, but are not limited to pregnant and postpartum women, parenting individuals and persons involved with the criminal justice system, persons afflicted with HIV, and persons with co-occurring mental illnesses. The Outpatient program addresses the problems of drug abuse and drug addiction for all populations utilizing the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria-six dimensions.

For some more data and information about it, the Specialized Assistance Services is most well recognized for being a multiple approach, evidence oriented, results based, tailor structured, varied, essentially customizable drug and alcohol addiction and dependence detox facility, treatment center, recovery location, rehabilitation program, and state certified addiction prevention community.  The Specialized Assistance Services can be paid for with self pay, and the program can be paid for with private health insurance options too, from Assurant Health Plan and Community Unlimited, United Behavioral Health Plan Incorporated, Great Western American Health Insurance, American Health Plan Incorporated, Blue Cross and Blue Shield Health Insurance, GEHA Health Plans and Policies Incorporated, APS Health Care Insurance Options, Aetna Health Care, Cigna Health Care, and Coventry Insurance PPO Unlimited.  The Specialized Assistance Services offers aftercare too, which is a helpful source of continuing recovery.  The Specialized Assistance Services offers sober living and halfway housing.
