Warriors Center Bolivar is a faith-based residential recovery program for men in Bolivar, Tennessee. It’s one of five campuses run by an organization that has provided structured recovery since 1999, serving men dealing with substance use and other life-controlling issues, and no one is turned away over money.
How the Program Works
The approach rests on the idea that addiction reaches the body, the mind, and the spirit, so the answer has to reach all three. Men enter through a 28-day spiritual bootcamp, an intensive stay designed to interrupt the chaos of active addiction and lay down new habits. The schedule is tight from early morning until lights out: chapel, Bible study, two hours of recovery classes daily, inspections, medication distribution, and quiet time, with recreation on Friday and Saturday evenings. Twenty of those 28 days include classroom instruction.
From there, most men continue into long-term discipleship, typically 12 to 18 months, with a full year required before anyone graduates. Advancement follows a military rank system paired with spiritual stages, and a man can move up one rank every three weeks at the most, only when he’s earned it. The early stages focus on exploring faith and establishing discipline; the final stage puts residents in a mentoring role with newer men. Along the way, residents work through 12-step material, memorize scripture, take life skills courses, join community outreach, and answer to daily accountability. Work assignments and mentoring are built into the weekly rhythm.
Trades Training, Education, and Alumni Support
Bolivar puts real weight on employment training. Men can earn EPA-certified HVAC credentials and learn construction skills, and the organization’s nonprofit trades company also trains residents in electrical work, plumbing, and painting, taking on commercial and residential jobs. A hands-on program covers practical life skills and starter certifications, and other residents gain experience through retail work, event staffing at regional venues, and jobs with partner businesses. Education runs alongside the trades: men without a high school diploma can prepare for a GED, and Bible college coursework is available.
The support doesn’t stop at graduation. Warriors Center operates graduate houses connected to the Bolivar center, transitional homes where alumni can hold a job and save money while keeping the structure that helped them. A three-month Recharge program exists for graduates who stumble and need to steady themselves again. More than 90 people on the Warriors Center staff and support team came through the program themselves, and alumni mentorship is a standing part of what Bolivar offers.
Eligibility and Admissions
Men must be at least 18, physically capable of working and participating, willing to take random drug and alcohol tests, serious about changing, and open to a faith-based program. Anyone with a sex offense or a current violent charge is not eligible. To begin, a person fills out the form on the Warriors Center website or downloads an application, and the intake team follows up. Belongings are limited to one suitcase and one backpack, and the center supplies clothing and toiletries to those who need them.
