The Hope Center Women’s Recovery Program is a residential recovery program for women in Lexington, Kentucky, housed at the Ball-Quantrell Jones Recovery Center for Women. Established in 2002 and modeled after The Hope Center’s men’s program, the women’s program adapts the same peer-driven, professionally supervised approach while incorporating gender-specific features that recognize the unique challenges women face in recovery, including trauma histories. The program uses the Recovery Dynamics curriculum and integrates trauma-informed care, mental health support, and family-focused services within a secure and welcoming residential setting that emphasizes dignity, respect, and safety.
Program Components
Entry into the Women’s Recovery Program begins with Safe Off the Streets, a non-judgmental entry point that provides immediate safety, stability, and support in a drug-free and alcohol-free environment before structured programming begins. The residential recovery track is built on the Recovery Dynamics curriculum and the 12-step model, supported by peer mentorship from women who have completed the program and professional oversight from staff. Specialized services include trauma-informed care, parenting education and family resources, employment readiness training, and life skills development, all designed to address both the substance use disorder and the broader circumstances that contribute to it.
Related Recovery and Treatment Services
The Hope Center offers additional treatment options that complement the Women’s Recovery Program. A CARF-accredited, 30-day residential treatment program operates at ASAM Level 3.1, staffed by licensed therapists, a registered nurse, and peer support specialists, providing intensive care for co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders through evidence-based modalities. An intensive outpatient program led by behavioral health clinicians with addiction expertise is also available, along with organization-wide support services including case management, food services, and housing assistance.
