The Salvation Army Great Lakes Harbor Light, Macomb Campus, is a substance use treatment center in Clinton Township, Michigan, providing a full continuum of addiction care for adult men and women. Part of The Salvation Army and serving the community for more than 75 years, it delivers clinical treatment alongside compassionate, faith-based support through an individualized approach to recovery.
Levels of Care
The Macomb Campus offers care across every stage of recovery. Treatment can begin with sub-acute detox, a short supervised step of roughly three to five days, followed by short-term or long-term residential treatment ranging from 30 to 90 days that draws on individual, group, and family therapy along with peer support. For those who do not need residential care, the campus provides intensive outpatient and standard outpatient services, the latter with flexible daytime, evening, and weekend scheduling to accommodate work and family. Domiciliary services and residential aftercare extend that support further, giving clients stable housing and continued care as they move toward independent living.
Specialized and Family-Centered Support
The Macomb Campus offers an intensive outpatient program for pregnant women and women with children, with treatment attentive to the particular needs of mothers and expectant mothers in recovery. The campus also emphasizes the role of loved ones through family counseling and family supportive services, because recovery is strongest when it includes the whole family. Serving adult men and women who are able to take part in the program, and reaching individuals across the broader Great Lakes Division, the campus makes its services more accessible through multilingual materials, including resources in Spanish and Arabic.
A Whole-Person Continuum of Care
Beyond its clinical programs, the Macomb Campus surrounds clients with wraparound support designed to address every dimension of recovery. This includes peer counseling, spiritual counseling, on-site legal aid, case management, primary health services, and support for co-occurring needs, all delivered within The Salvation Army’s compassionate mission. With a round-the-clock response for walk-ins and referrals, the campus is ready to meet people at their moment of need and guide them through an individualized path to recovery.
