The Salvation Army – Harbor Light Recovery Program

The Salvation Army is one of the largest providers of quality recovery care in various states of the US. Their Harbor Light Recovery Program is available to the individuals struggling with addiction issues in the Kansas City. They offer a specialized design of comprehensive rehabilitation treatment, along with counseling and housing programs. The Harbor Light recovery service was opened in 2008; it offers residential recovery services, outpatient services, low budget services, halfway house services, and detoxification services among various other services. Their residential recovery services are available to the clients in the form of long-term residential care or short-term residential care. They also offer DUI/DWI offender recovery services.nThe Salvation Army is known for having drug and alcohol addiction rehab programs all across the country. The Salvation Army Harbor Light Recovery Program is a branch of the Harbor Light recovery group, Salvation Army’s well known treatment program. The Salvation Army Harbor Light Recovery Program is an inpatient, residential rehab program that offers a variety of addiction treatment services.nThe Salvation Army provides several substance abuse services and programs all designed with providing a comprehensive rehabilitation process. The following includes both counseling and housing programs, in and around the Kansas City Metro area.nThis residential program assists up to 130 men, with treatable handicaps, drug dependence, alcohol addiction or other problems, at one time. Residents receive addiction counseling and are taught skills and given responsibilities that will help them return to community living. This self-supported program is funded by Salvation Army Thrift Stores, located around the Kansas City area. The ARC is responsible for the daily operations of these stores, providing pick-up service, sorting and refurbishing of goods and sometimes manning the counters. All funds generated by the stores are put directly back into the program.
