The Salvation Army – Rochester Adult Rehabilitation Center is a long-term residential addiction recovery program for adults whose alcohol, drug or other substance use has significantly disrupted daily life, responsibilities and overall stability. It’s part of The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARC) network, which provides immersive, structured care in a live-in environment rather than brief outpatient treatment.
A Structured, Supportive Residential Recovery Program
This center offers a 180-day (about six months) residential work-therapy model where men and women live in a substance-free setting and engage in group and individual counseling, relapse-prevention planning, life-skills development and spiritual support integrated into daily routines. Participants also take part in work assignments and community accountability activities designed to build responsibility and support lasting change.
Recovery With Practical and Emotional Supports
The program blends therapeutic engagement and peer support with opportunities to develop coping strategies and healthy habits that matter in everyday life. The program aims to help people address underlying issues related to substance use and prepare them for reintegration into work and family roles once residential care concludes.
No-Cost Residential Treatment for Eligible Adults
As part of The Salvation Army’s charitable network, the Rochester ARC is typically provided at no direct cost to participants who meet eligibility criteria and are ready to engage fully with structured recovery work, including its work-therapy assignments, counseling requirements and communal living expectations.
