Though drug and alcohol addiction is a difficult and grim crisis, it does not have to be.  The Total HealthCare Substance Abuse Services is an effective and truly helpful drug and alcohol addiction treatment center in the services that it provides to people for getting them off of drugs and alcohol.  The Total HealthCare Substance Abuse Services works to create stability and abstinence that is lasting and permanent.  The program is an outpatient substance abuse treatment center.

Substance abuse involves regular use of alcohol, drugs or other substances that could be harmful. This is considered abuse, and Total Health Care has programs to help fight this community concern.

Total Health Care provides a team of trained providers to treat addiction and substance abuse. The Total Health Care Substance Abuse Program is a state-certified, outpatient program that treats the whole person. This includes physically, psychologically, socially and spiritually. Our substance abuse case management services link on-site primary care, mental health, housing, and counseling services. We also refer to services for childcare, and vocational and educational training.

Total Health Care provides Buprenorphine Maintenance as part of the city’s Baltimore Buprenorphine Initiative. This is an effort of the Baltimore City Health Department, Baltimore Substance Abuse Systems and Baltimore Health Care Access, Inc. At Total Health Care, clients are inducted and maintained on Buprenorphine while receiving the program’s comprehensive treatment services.

Total Health Care’s Substance Abuse Program accepts Medicare, Medicaid, Health Choice MCO plans, most commercial insurance plans. There is a sliding fee scale.

Primarily, the Total HealthCare Substance Abuse Services offers workable and effective outpatient detoxification services.  The main goal of the center is to help people detox off of whatever it is that they are on, in such a way that they can go on to a residential, rehabilitation center.  The rehab center is a recognized and long term treatment center that is a popular, workable, supportive, recovery-minded, both one on one committed and group focused approach to drug and alcohol addiction and dependence treatment, detox, rehab, recovery, and permanent sobriety.  The program can be paid for with self pay, or the program can be paid for with private health insurance options such as High Mark Health and Living, Humana Insurance Plans and Policies, Health Smart Insurance, Cooks Children's and Adult’s Health Plan and First Care Approach, American Family Health Insurance, ComPsych Health Plan PPO, and The Managed Health Network too.
