What We Do

TCPC provides support and assistance to any community partners interested in lowering the rates of youth drug and alcohol use. The collaborative meets monthly to plan activities, and would welcome any interested parties to join us.

Sample Activities:

  • We sponsor Red Ribbon Week and drug-free promotional programs in local middle schools.
  • We partner with other community stakeholders for events like Teen Maze.
  • We track student and teacher knowledge of drug use and trends throughout our middle and high schools.
  • We sponsor a Youth Advisory Board for 9th-12th grade students interested in working against youth alcohol and drug use.
  • We provide training in responsible beverage service to alcohol service personnel.
  • We are available for presentations on trends in drug use, alcohol and the teen brain, marijuana legislation, and many other drug-related topics.
  • We work with other prevention professionals around the state on legislation reform and public policy on prescription drugs and marijuana.
