Youth Outreach Services – Lyons Township Office

Updated on: 30 July 2026

About this center

Youth Outreach Services (YOS) maintains an office in La Grange, Illinois, serving the Lyons Township area with community-based substance use intervention services for youth. A nonprofit organization since 1959, YOS works with at-risk young people and their families across Chicago and surrounding suburban communities, holding accreditation from the Council on Accreditation and affiliation with United Way.

Youth Substance Use Services

The Lyons Township office provides substance use screening, assessment, and treatment for young people experiencing challenges with alcohol or drug use. The program is designed to help youth understand how substance use is affecting their daily lives and to build practical skills for reducing or eliminating use. YOS also extends its substance use programming to incarcerated youth as the exclusive provider of screening, assessment, and treatment at multiple Illinois Youth Center facilities statewide.

Therapeutic and Crisis Support

Through its counseling program, the La Grange office offers access to individual, family, and group therapy along with outreach, mentoring, and crisis intervention available around the clock. Insurance and managed Medicaid are accepted. All YOS programming is grounded in the organization’s core belief that every young person is capable of excellence when given the right support and opportunities.
