GET A CALL BACK

An intervention is a group meeting where family and friends of an addict come together to help the addict understand what their addiction is doing and how important it is that they get some kind of help for their substance abuse problem right away. An intervention is usually done as a last resort, and this is because all the other attempts made by the family to help their loved one have failed. Most addicts will not be very willing to get help and will spend a great deal of time finding ways to avoid attending a drug and alcohol rehab program. A family will turn to an intervention specialist to help them convince their loved one into getting the help they need. The family will usually have a drug and alcohol treatment program set up prior to an intervention taking place because when the addict agrees to get help, they must be prepared to leave right away as the window can close rapidly, and they may change their mind. Throughout Washington D.C, there are some intervention services available that can help addicts and their families. These services will be able to help a family conduct an intervention and also find a suitable drug and alcohol rehab program where an addict can get the help they need.
