Drug & Alcohol Addiction Services for the LGBTQ Community in California

Throughout the state of California are hundreds of different drug and alcohol treatment programs, and this will include LGBTQ specific treatment centers. This type of treatment program simply provides counseling and therapy sensitive to the needs of members of the LGBTQ community. Roughly 20 to 30% of people who identify as LGBTQ will struggle with drug addiction, which is much higher than the 9% of the general population. Battling any type of drug problem is difficult, and many addicts will make more than one attempt at treatment. The rehabilitation programs in California do include private and state-funded services. Addicts battling addiction can find inpatient and outpatient services. When choosing a drug treatment program, it is important to find services that will meet all of your treatment needs. What you are experiencing through your addiction will be different than what the other person is going through.
