Drug & Alcohol Addiction Services for the LGBTQ Community in Idaho

Anyone from the LGBTQ community who is struggling with a drug or alcohol addiction should be reaching out for help. Substance abuse does affect members of this community who live in Idaho. In fact, roughly 20 to 30% of LGBTQ people will suffer from some type of substance use disorder. For example, roughly 25% will abuse alcohol, and gay men are 12 times more likely to abuse amphetamines. Substance abuse is a deadly and dangerous problem and will cause severe physical and mental-health problems. Whichever the reason may be for you abusing drugs and alcohol, you should be getting help. Drug treatment programs in Idaho include state-funded and private treatment services. Addicts can access inpatient and outpatient programs, to help with their addiction, and this includes detox. Some drug rehab centers or counseling programs will provide LGBTQ specific treatment options, which is often counseling, specific for the issues LGBTQ people struggle with.
