Drug & Alcohol Addiction Services for the LGBTQ Community in North Carolina

When struggling with any type of drug or alcohol abuse problem in North Carolina, it can be difficult to imagine a life without drugs or alcohol. For many members of the LGBTQ community, drug addiction has become a serious problem. It is estimated that roughly 20 to 30% of the LGBTQ community will struggle with some type of substance use disorder, along with other mental-health problems. Because of this, it is important to have the proper help and support. Some of the drug rehab centers in the state of North Carolina may offer LGBTQ specific treatment services, such as counseling and therapy for the problems that LGBTQ people face. It is important to find the right type of help and treatment, with any type of substance abuse problem. Alcohol addiction is common for many LGBTQ people, and roughly 25% of the LGBTQ community do struggle with alcohol dependency. Alcohol abuse can lead to the use of other drugs, such as cocaine, or prescription medications.
