Drug & Alcohol Addiction Services for the LGBTQ Community in Utah

Drug treatment programs in Utah will include long-term and short-term facilities, some that will be private programs and others that are state-funded services. Substance abuse and addiction do impact many of the different communities throughout the state. People who are within the LGBTQ community do struggle with drug addiction problems. In fact, roughly 20 to 30% of the LGBTQ community across the United States will have some type of substance use disorder. Even a casual drug use problem can lead to dangerous addiction. When you are unable to find the help, you need, your drug problem will become worse. For many LGBTQ people, it can be hard to find the right help, because you may struggle with different issues than the rest of the general population. Drug and alcohol abuse does not have to be a life-long problem, and with the right help, you can become fully rehabilitated.
