Drug & Alcohol Extended Care Services in Colorado

Extended care programs in Colorado could be services such as sober living homes. These are live-in communities for recovering addict to take an opportunity to rebuild their lives. They are connected with other sober people and are surrounded by a continuous support network. The client often has an opportunity to find work, go to school, or work on their finances. More importantly, they become involved with the community, continue with routine and structure, and work on their sobriety. Outpatient programs in Colorado also offer extended care services. These are not live-in programs, but the client attends daily and continues to work on their sobriety. Much can be done with peer support groups, such as 12-step programs. These extended care services are found in most cities and towns within Colorado. Twelve-step groups are the most recognized form of peer support. The recovering addict stays connected with other sober people and builds a strong network of support and help.
