Drug & Alcohol Rehab Centers with Access to Recovery Voucher Programs in Connecticut

The access to recovery program is a funded service by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and U.S. Department of Health. This is a voucher program that addicts living in Connecticut can apply for if they meet some particular criteria. Drug and alcohol abuse in the state impact people from all over Connecticut. Substance abuse can be effectively treated, but many addicts are unable to afford treatment. An addict can apply for the access to recovery voucher and receive an assessment by an access to recovery coordinator. This can often be done at the local mental health services or public health services. The applicant must be 18 years of age, have a history of addiction, an annual income that is 200% below the federal poverty line, and live in the county or jurisdiction that provided access to recovery services. The access to recovery voucher allows an addict to choose the program they need from the different service providers taking part in the access to recovery program.
