Drug & Alcohol Rehab Services for Veterans in Connecticut

Drug and alcohol addiction is a common problem for many veterans, and the addiction may have started while they were still serving or developed after the fact. Any veterans living in Connecticut who are struggling with addiction should be reaching out for help. Throughout the state are different inpatient and outpatient drug rehab centers, and the Department of Veterans Affairs can provide treatment and counseling for vets struggling with addiction. Some of the common drug problems involve alcohol and prescribed drugs, and in many cases, it can start with an alcohol addiction. Prescription-drug addictions can start quite easily. When these drugs are prescribed, it can be for any number of different reasons, but if they are misused in any way, the use will become physically and psychologically dependent upon them. Substance abuse can be properly treated, but it will require the right type of help. Finding drug treatment is important, and the programs in the state can help addicts overcome their addictions.
