Drug & Alcohol Rehab Services with ASL or Assistance for the Hearing Impaired in Indiana

Drug and alcohol addiction is a problem that impacts many people living in the state of Indiana, and within the community of people who are deaf or hard of hearing, addiction is also an issue for a small percentage. Substance treatment services and mental health services operate all throughout the state of Indiana, and there will be some programs that could offer the specific services needed for someone who is deaf or hard of hearing. This type of treatment will require help from someone who knows American Sign Language, and rehab programs may have to have access to assistive listening devices, and other technologies to help the patient. Communication will be the biggest barrier, and it is communication that allows a patient in treatment to solve his or her addiction.
