Drug & Alcohol Rehab Services with ASL or Assistance for the Hearing Impaired in Nevada

Drug and alcohol addiction throughout the state of Nevada impacts many people and their families. Unfortunately, there is a small percentage of addicts who are deaf or hard of hearing and may struggle with getting the help they need. Drug treatment for someone who is deaf is no different from the methodologies used, but the communication process must involve American Sign Language, an interpreter, and some types of assistive listening devices and other technologies. The various drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs that operate throughout the state of Nevada include residential and outpatient programs, and some facilities may have the ability to help someone who is deaf or hard of hearing. Not every drug treatment service in Nevada will be able to staff people who can use American Sign Language, and also provide the other services needed. It is important to reach out to as many different programs as possible in the state and other states to find the right help.
