Drug & Alcohol Rehab Services with ASL or Assistance for the Hearing Impaired in New Jersey

Drug and alcohol treatment programs in the state of New Jersey includes both private and state-funded services, and some of these programs can offer specific services to help addicts. An addict who is deaf or hard of hearing will need to access people who know American Sign Language and access assistive listening devices and other technology. This will not always be easy, and not every drug and alcohol rehabilitation program in the state will have the capability to provide these services for treatment. People who are deaf or hard of hearing in New Jersey may choose to use drugs to cope with the problem, or they may be struggling with a mental illness or other circumstances in his or her life. Anyone who is addicted to drugs and alcohol and is deaf or hard of hearing in New Jersey should reach out to local treatment resources and mental health facilities for help.
