Synthetic Drug Addiction Detox & Rehabilitation Services in Hawaii

Synthetic drugs are man-made substances created in labs in order to mimic other drugs. One synthetic drug that is growing in use in the state of Hawaii is Spice, which is a form of synthetic marijuana. In October 2018, two teenagers, aged 12 and 13 years old, were taken to the hospital in serious condition after overdosing on the drug. According to doctors, this is a very fast-acting drug that can cause hallucinations, seizures, and psychosis, and because most people who buy this drug do not fully know the contents of it, it becomes much easier to overdose on it. Anyone with an addiction to any synthetic drug should seek help immediately. Something can be done about it. The first step would be a drug detox program to handle the physical side of the addiction. Once that is completed, it would be ideal for the addict to go to a drug treatment center where they will be able to handle all other aspects of the addiction to ensure they can then live a drug-free life!

Hawaii Detoxification & Rehabs for PCP (Phencyclidine) Addiction

The effects of a PCP addiction and abuse problems can be wide-ranging, but the treatment of a PCP addiction is possible. PCP or phencyclidine is a potent dissociative anesthetic drug that is very similar to ketamine. PCP will cause a euphoric effect; the user will also feel a sense of invulnerability and will feel little to no pain. Unfortunately, PCP will also give the user a sense of having super strength, and this drug has been linked to numerous violent crimes within the United States. The first step in treating a PCP addiction will be a detox, and the many different conventional detox centers within the state of Hawaii will help a PCP addict through the withdrawals. PCP withdrawals can induce certain symptoms, some that can be dangerous depending on the amount of the drugs used, and other substances involved. Medical detox may be necessary for some PCP addicts. After detox, an addict should attend either an inpatient or an outpatient drug treatment center in Hawaii, and depending upon the severity of the addiction, either short-term or long-term treatment will be effective.
