Drug & Alcohol Treatment Services for the Hispanic Community in Oregon

Hispanic Americans struggling with drug abuse problems in Oregon should be reaching out for help, through local treatment programs in the state. Health problems that are caused by drugs and alcohol become problematic for many Hispanic Americans. Much of this is because they traditionally do not reach out to local physical and mental health services within the state. These types of state-funded programs can help provide preventative treatment support, which would help many Hispanics abusing drugs or alcohol avoid potential health problems. Substance abuse is a dangerous problem, and without the proper treatment, the addiction will only become worse. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration do report there is a higher rate of opioid use among Hispanics, and this does result in more emergency-room visits. The commonly abused opioids are heroin and pain medication. Opioid addiction will require a medical detox, which can be accessed in many parts of Oregon.
