When you are sitting down with a counselor or therapist, it is important to be comfortable talking to them. You must explain what is going on, and this is hard to do if you do not speak English. Some drug rehabilitation programs are equipped to help the hearing impaired. Someone who is deaf/hard of hearing will struggle with treatment unless they have access to ASL.
