Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centers with Language-Specific Services in Michigan

Language-specific drug rehab programs in Michigan would help people who only speak Spanish for example. Spanish speaking drug treatment centers provide staff who speak Spanish and the program material. Someone who is battling addiction where English is not their first language will find it hard to work with English speaking counselors. The same problems are faced by people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Persons with disabilities in Michigan are more likely to abuse drugs or alcohol because of the challenges they face. Substance abuse within this community is a common problem. A drug rehabilitation center for the hearing impaired will use ASL or American Sign Language. This is done through an interpreter, or through various other means. Not every drug treatment center in the state will provide this, and often special circumstances are made. The drug treatment center would have to bring in an interpreter or make other arrangements to help the client.
