Employee Assistance Programs for Drug & Alcohol Abuse in Minnesota

Workplace drug abuse and alcohol abuse is a common problem, and many employers in the state of Minnesota lose productivity because of this. To help with this problem, many employers in the state may have set up an employee assistance program, to provide counseling and short-term help for their employees. An employee can access an EAP at any time, and all the information gathered from the EAP is kept confidential and is not released back to the employer. Employees can access their employee assistance program at any time, and there is usually a toll-free number they can contact to access the different services. Employees can also receive help for financial struggles, mental health conditions, substance abuse issues, workplace conflicts, and legal concerns among many other issues. If the treatment that is provided through an employee assistance program is not enough, the EAP can refer the employee to further help available in Minnesota.
