Some of the drug rehabilitation centers in Alaska could make available home detox kits for addicts. It is important to understand that home detox will not always be a reliable process, but if the addict is not too far gone, it may be a viable solution. Home detox would be done because a person does not want to attend a drug and alcohol detox center. Some addicts or persons that are physically dependent on drugs may have too much to lose by attending drug detox and will choose to opt for a home detox. Whatever the reason may be, a home detox must be carefully thought out, and a certain degree of planning should be done.
