South Dakota Intensive Outpatient Drug Rehab Programs

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration website only list contact information for 32 intensive outpatient programs operating within the state of South Dakota. There may be some circumstances where an addict or his or her family may not find the right type of help for their addiction. In this circumstance, they will have to search out of state for the right kind of help. Each intensive outpatient program will provide something different, but many similarities with treatment, especially if it is a traditional approach to rehabilitation.

Intensive outpatient programs are made for those who do need help for substance abuse, but do not need inpatient treatment at a facility. It can include individual and group counseling and drug testing.

How do I know if I have an addiction?

While this may not determine what type of treatment is best, it can help a person discover if his or drug use is problematic.
