One of the problems within the field of addiction is some "referral agencies" are, in fact, owned by treatment centers to fill their beds, which is by itself misleading visitors. This is widely covered on the Internet https://theintercept.com/2017/10/17/google-search-drug-use-opioid-epidemic/.

DRS and RNT CONSULTING LLC are an independent website and call center not owned by any treatment. We are also trying to refer you to treatment that believes in good treatment practice, not rehabs that substitute an addiction with another dependency using medication. We believe that a drug-free life can be achieved. Medication can be used but only for detox purpose.

Our goal is to give you the possibility of attain a drug-free life.

Iowa Drug And Alcohol Treatment Centers For Youth

Drug prevention is probably the most important preventative step in avoiding drug and alcohol abuse with teens. Many schools implement drug programs and drug awareness seminars for the adolescents of the school. Doing this will only help stop a teen from making the wrong choices, unfortunately it does not always help, many teens get caught up in drug and alcohol abuse very easily. Help is available if the problems get this far, the state of Iowa has over twenty different treatment options for teens. These options include support groups, individual counseling, and outpatient and residential help. The knowledge about drugs is the first step, but the right kind of help is available when needed.

Did you know this about Youth?

Youth addiction, when addressed in a treatment, is different compared to an adult who has more responsibility in life. An adult has often families to take care of and also if in trouble with the law, the consequences are far greater than for an adolescent.

Physical dependency will occur among teens just as easily as it does with adults, and it can happen with drugs such as opiates, stimulants, and other narcotic drugs. The treatment for physical dependency may be different for teens, as more steps may need to be taken to ensure their safety. Physical dependencies can be treated with medical detox and holistic programs, which can help restore the patients' health.

Drug rehabilitation resources for adolescents are available throughout the state of Iowa; however, the centers are spread throughout the state with no real concentration of programs for teens in one area. Finding the most suitable rehabilitation center may become difficult for a family, if the addict is unwilling to travel, or the family is not able to afford treatment in different parts of the state. The SAMHSA website directory lists over 50 distinctive substance abuse treatment programs offering adolescent drug rehabilitation services.

Here is a list of the different adolescent treatments in Iowa. The list can be incomplete so please do not hesitate to contact one of our counselors at 1-800-304-2219.
