Last updated: 21 December 2021

James City County is a county that can be found in the state of Virginia. It is home to an estimated population of around 76,000 people as of 2019 according to the United States Census Bureau. This makes James City County one of the smaller counties in the state. But even being sparsely populated has not been enough to avoid the scourge of America's Drug epidemic. From 2015 to 2017 there were 27 drug deaths in James City County according to a report published by County Health Rankings and Roadmaps. This shows exactly how many people did not get the help that they needed when it comes to drug and alcohol rehabilitation and detox services. Every single drug death was a life that could have been saved if the person had gotten the right kind of help for their needs at the right point in their life. But in early addiction, it is not uncommon for the person to accidentally overdose before ever being ready to receive help. This is why you should never ignore signs of drug use in a loved one. Waiting for them to be ready is an error any time they die before being ready. Since you never know with drug use, you should always intervene. Act now before it is too late to do anything to save their life. No one wants to look back and regret not doing everything possible before it was too late.
