Help is Possible

Most drug treatment centers that provide client-specific care as for law enforcement and first responders, will assign each patient a particular level of care after his or her initial assessment. This process will help determine the patient's specific clinical needs for treatment and can ensure they receive the most effective drug treatment options. Some of the treatment options provided will include traditional and non-tradition approaches, such as cognitive therapy, twelve-step drug rehab programs, and services to help rehabilitate a person physically.

Drug & Alcohol Addiction Services for Professionals in Alaska

Drug and alcohol abuse ultimately affects anyone given the right circumstances. Typically, drugs and alcohol are used to cope with emotional or physical stress. Members of the military and even veterans struggle with emotional or physical trauma during and after service. Without proper help or support, many will turn to prescription drugs or alcohol to cope. These issues happen with law enforcement and first responders in Alaska. Witnessing horrible things regularly, and dealing with high-stress situations will create a reason to turn to drugs or alcohol. The abuse of alcohol is common, especially binge drinking among law enforcement. Those working within the medical and legal professions struggle with issues such as prescription drug abuse and binge drinking. A medical professional can battle prescription drug addiction, because of self-prescribing medications. These problems are effectively treated at some of the drug rehab centers for professionals in Alaska.
