Drug And Alcohol Rehab Centers For Law Enforcement & First Responders In Maine

Maine Substance Abuse Rehab Programs for Members of Law Enforcement

Within the state of Maine are many different drug and alcohol treatment programs operating out of outpatient and inpatient treatment centers. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration website do list what facilities and programs operate within the state, and what types of services are available. Unfortunately, the SAMHSA website does not list which of these programs offer support and help to members of law enforcement. Drug treatment options will either be provided internally, or the programs are found within private centers throughout the state.

What steps are being taken to help law enforcement members?

Many law enforcement agencies have begun to see that a member who is addicted to drugs or alcohol is a valuable member who can be treated and helped, so as they can return to a successful life. Some of these law enforcement agencies have created partnerships with treatment centers and resources that can be provided to officers internally. The main priority is to help members with his or her addiction, and help them return to work.
