Within the state of New York are many different law enforcement agencies, and some members of these agencies' struggle with addiction and substance abuse issues.

PTSD is one of the most common mental health problems that many officers deal with along with depression and anxiety. Drug rehabilitation programs are designed to help treat these problems, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Agency directory do provide lists of programs within the state. However, the directory does not list which of these programs can help members of law enforcement.
