Manatee County is a county that can be found in the state of Florida. It is home to a population estimated to be around 403,000 people as of 2019 according to the United States Census Bureau. This makes Manatee County one of the larger counties in the state by population which is not always a good thing. Since America's drug epidemic began there have been increased rates of drug addiction and overdose in densely populated areas and the state of Florida is no exception. From 2015 to 2017 there were 457 drug deaths in Manatee County according to a report published by County Health Rankings, a rate which shows exactly how many people didn't get the lifesaving help they needed. Each drug death was a life that could have been saved. But so many people accidentally overdose before ever being ready to even receive help. In early addiction, this is too common, particularly as drugs have grown stronger and more deadly. In early addiction the person may have a very low tolerance, making accidental overdose a serious possibility. This is why you should never ignore suspicions of drug use. No one wants to regret not doing everything possible to save a life.
