There are several detoxification treatments in Massachusetts. Those are the ones we have in our directory. This does not mean that there are no other centers in the state. The centers displayed don’t use methadone, which is an extremely addictive substance used to treat addiction. However, even though there are only 10 centers that offer detoxification services, they still offer a lot of different options. The setting in which the program is delivered can vary from one center to another. In Massachusetts, there are treatments that offer residential and outpatient services. In certain centers, they will also have partial hospitalization available if necessary. Furthermore, there are detox programs, which are delivered directly in hospitals, this can make some people feel safer.
Once the setting is chosen, there are also other options to consider. For example, some detoxification treatments assist those who have HIV/AIDS, those who are minors, those who are seniors, etc. Furthermore, another thing to consider is that some of the detox centers also offer full rehabilitation services. This is strongly advised since it gives a chance for people to address the numerous ramifications and reasons why a person got addicted in the first place. The fact they could both be delivered in the same place would make the process a lot easier.
