Michigan Partial Hospitalization Programs for Alcohol and Drug Addiction

Across the state of Michigan, drug and alcohol addiction impact many people, and for some, it becomes a life-long problem. With so many different treatment options operating across the United States, it can be hard to choose the right type of program. Partial hospitalization programs are often referred to as day programs and are outpatient-based services to help addicts with more in-depth treatment options than a typical outpatient drug rehab center. The treatment services are comprehensive and can include detox, medical services, medication management, individual therapy, group counseling, and aftercare planning. In fact, partial hospitalization programs are often used by former addicts who have already completed an inpatient drug rehab program and want to continue with further help and support. The cost of a partial hospitalization program will depend on the length of time needed. The average length of stay is typically three to five days, but this can be longer depending on the addiction and if there are any medical or mental health problems.
