Morphine Detox and Rehab Treatment in California

The use of prescription drugs to treat medical and mental disorders has risen substantially in the United States during the last few decades. The highest percentage of misuse occurs with pain relievers such as morphine. In California this phenomenon has become so problematic, that a Prescription Drug Misuse (PDM) Task Force was created in order to keep it under observation.

The signs of a misuse can be easily observed: going through a morphine prescription too quickly (and needing refills before they are due), "Doctor shopping," which is seeing several different healthcare providers to obtain numerous morphine prescriptions, or switching from one provider to another and repeated reports of losing a prescription, having a prescription stolen, or needing a prescription early to go on vacation. Also, a sudden secluded behavior and big changes in social circles can be included in the group of morphine addiction signs.

Bobby Newman is a certified counselor and interventionist who has been performing successful interventions for over 17 years. He also has educated thousands of people on the danger of drugs and alcohol addiction.

More than three in five teens say prescription pain relievers are easy to get from parents’ medicine cabinets; half of teens say they are easy to get through other people’s prescriptions; and more than half (52 percent) say prescription pain relievers are “available everywhere.” The majority of teens (56 percent) agree that prescription drugs are easier to get than illicit drugs. While 70 percent of parents warn their children about the risks of marijuana, only 36 percent have similar conversations about prescription drug abuse.

As far as morphine treatments go, there are a lot of options in California. The state is home 500 residential treatments. Residential rehabilitation is often best when one is addicted to drugs such as morphine. But also, a detox program is often advised (some of the rehab treatments will require it). Morphine abuse can give some intense withdrawal symptoms. There are over 150 detoxification treatments in California. We can help you find a morphine treatment that will satisfy your needs.
