New Hampshire Drug & Alcohol Treatment Centers with Private Pay

Can private programs force their patients to stay?

Private drug and alcohol treatment centers cannot necessarily force a patient to stay in treatment, as these are not locked down facilities. Staff at the centers will do whatever it takes to help convince an addict that rehabilitation is necessary. It will take the support of the family to make sure their loved one does not leave; if the family sets some boundaries and does offer support, it will make it easier for them to decide about staying in treatment.
