GET A CALL BACK

Substance abuse has been affecting Northampton County and its county seat, Eastville, for several years. It is important to know that this type of issue is quite serious and that it has caused a great deal of damage to the community. For us to truly understand this problem, we will be looking at some recent statistics relating to alcohol abuse specifically, as this is what has most harmed the county. Firstly, there is excessive drinking that was reported by 14% of adults in the county in 2017, and this includes both heavy and binge drinking. Drinking excessively can lead to many devastating health problems, but it can also cause fatalities. In fact, between 2014-2018, there were 7 alcohol-impaired driving deaths, accounting for 29% of the 24 driving-related deaths that occurred, according to County Health Rankings. Such deaths are always unfortunate, mostly because they could be prevented. It is as simple as planning ahead for a safe option to get home when someone goes out and knows they will be drinking. Whether it is designating a non-drinking driver or calling a taxi, it can save lives. When a person is struggling with an addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs, it is essential that they seek treatment. Some individuals may find it quite beneficial to incorporate their faith in their recovery. Well, there are Christian faith-based treatment programs available for those who wish to do that. Such programs will help them in overcoming their addiction and becoming stronger than this situation by using the philosophies of their own faith. Whatever they learn about themselves or their faith during their treatment will be helpful even after to maintain their sobriety.
