Frequently Asked Questions

Should you seek treatment in Burlington County, or look further away?

I want to talk to the people in Burlington County who are scared to go because of their job. I hear this a lot. Twenty-five years ago, losing your job over treatment was a real risk. Today most employers understand, many have employee assistance plans, and unions often help pay. Local care here even includes workplace drug services and DOT services built around that. I had a guy from California terrified of losing his job. He finally told his boss, and the boss said he was proud of him. He kept the job and did the program. If you keep using, you lose the job anyway, and a lot more. Locally the care is mostly at the lower intensity end. For detox, Stratford in Camden County is about nineteen miles, or Philadelphia twenty-four, and residential runs thirty-plus miles out. If the bed that fits is thirty miles out, that is no reason to stall either. The distance from your routine helps more than it costs. YOU are the most important thing here, not the paycheck.
