Relapse Prevention Programs for Drug & Alcohol Addiction in Oregon

When you go through any type of drug or alcohol treatment program in Oregon, you will work on some type of relapse prevention. Relapse prevention can be considered a type of counseling, and the methods used will be different within each program. Substance abuse is easy to fall into, but it does take work to overcome any type of drug problem. When you work through relapse prevention, you will be typically addressing the underlying issues connected to your addiction. This can be the triggers, which would cause you to relapse. If you can identify these triggers, you can prevent relapse from happening, but much of relapse prevention does fall onto you. You will learn a great deal while in a drug rehab program, and tools and knowledge you gain are valuable to help you maintain your sobriety. When you do finish any type of inpatient or outpatient rehab center in Oregon, you should be considering some type of aftercare treatment. Other options can include attending meetings and support groups and staying connected to sober people.
