Relapse Prevention Programs for Drug & Alcohol Addiction in Washington

Drug addiction is a problem all throughout the state of Washington, and many recovering addicts living there do struggle with their sobriety. When you finish any type of residential or outpatient drug treatment program, you will have decisions to make about how you handle your sobriety. Relapse prevention counseling will be done, and you would have learned new skills and abilities, which will contribute to maintaining your sobriety. For example, some of the treatment programs in the state will have various forms of counseling, such as behavioral modification, cognitive therapy, individual therapy, or group sessions. Through any form of counseling, you will work on relapse prevention, and taking all the steps needed to ensure you do not relapse when you finish treatment. Falling into a drug problem is easy to do, but when you go through treatment and face the world again, there will be many new challenges. Much of relapse prevention does fall onto you, and the steps you take to ensure sobriety.
