Drug Rehabilitation Centers in Scotland County, North Carolina

Located in the southern region of the state, Scotland County had a population of close to 35,000 in 2019, and the county seat is the town of Laurinburg. When families or an addict begin to search for drug rehab centers, an addiction assessment is an effective tool to take to help. An assessment could occur over the phone or in-person, but it helps the family or addict narrow down treatment options. The first step with rehabilitation is detox, which is essential to manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Typically, the severity of the addiction and withdrawal symptoms determine what detox method is needed. Detoxification options include inpatient medical detox or withdrawal management, and conventional or traditional detox. Detox should not be considered the only rehabilitation option because it will not adequately provide enough counseling or relapse prevention.

Following detox, the next step with treatment involves attending either residential or outpatient treatment. Most forms of residential drug rehab are the best options because more services and offered onsite. For example, short-term residential drug rehab usually lasts three to six weeks and is brief but intensive. Long-term residential drug rehab programs provide services for three to six months and are excellent options for addicts who struggle with long-term sobriety. The rehabilitation process should help a person physically, mentally, and even spiritually if it is a faith-based program. Outpatient drug rehab centers are also effective and are common options because they are less expensive than most inpatient centers.
