Seminole County is found in the southeastern state of Florida. Home to an estimated population of around 471,000 people as of 2019 according to the United States Census Bureau, Seminole County is one of the larger counties in the state. But this isn’t always a good thing since America’s drug epidemic began, because more people often means more drug addiction and overdose death. From 2015 to 2017 there were 259 drug deaths in Seminole County according to a report from County Health Rankings and Roadmaps, a rate which was one of the highest for any county in the time period. This shows just how bad the drug problem really is in Florida, and how many people do not get the help that they need from drug and alcohol rehabilitation and detox services. Each life lost could have been potentially saved had the person gotten help, but so many people never make it into treatment before losing their lives to addiction. This is why you should never ignore suspicions that you have about a loved one using drugs. If you suspect something, there is usually a reason why. These signs of drug use should never be ignored, despite popular advice. No one wants to regret not doing everything possible to save a life.
