It is easy to become addicted to drugs and alcohol, but it is difficult to overcome addiction and maintain your sobriety. If you have nothing to go back or are not comfortable with returning back to the real world, a sober living community can be an excellent place to start. While you are staying at a sober living community, you will be participating is daily household chores and responsibilities, taking random drug and alcohol testing, and having to participate in some type of group or individual counseling. Most of the sober living homes in Illinois will require you to maintain a full-time job, or go back to school, and or do community service.
