Over the last few decades, the United States has seen a large increase in the number of drug-related deaths being reported throughout the nation. This spike in addiction has negatively impacted the country which has resulted in the death toll continuing to rise with more citizens become addicted to these deadly drugs. The opioid crisis brought about more damage and destruction than most other drugs and yet, these drugs, along with others such as heroin, are more prevalent now and more deadly than ever. As the mortality rate continues to rise, the threat expands to smaller places regardless of the number of drug detoxification and treatment programs, the problems still exist for places such as St. Croix County, Wisconsin which has Hudson as the largest city. The state of Wisconsin has dealt with a large amount of substance abuse and St. Croix County in particular has reported 27 deaths in one year, according to County Health Rankings. Although Wisconsin has dealt with these rises in addiction rates, it is not the only state in the US that has seen such drastic numbers regarding both substance abuse and drug-related fatalities. If you have a loved one that you fear is abusing drugs or alcohol, the best thing to do for them is help them enroll in a drug treatment program. There are several different types of drug rehabilitation centers throughout the country that offer their service to drug users all over the US and assist with the entire process of recovery. Do not wait until it is too late to receive the treatment you need to leave the drugs in the past for good.
