Suffolk is a city that can be found in the state of Virginia. Home to an estimated population of around 92,000 people as of 2019 according to the United States Census Bureau, Suffolk is one of the larger cities in the state by population. But one drawback to being so densely populated is the risk of increased rates of drug addiction and overdose, something that has been a major issue since America's drug epidemic began in the early 2000s. In 2019 there were 15.4 drug deaths for every 100,000 residents of the state according to a report from America's Health Rankings, showing exactly how many people didn't get the bare minimum in terms of help from drug and alcohol rehabilitation and detox services. Each drug death was a life that could have been saved if they had gotten the right kind of help for their needs at the right point in their life. But so many people never make it into treatment before winding up overdosing and losing their lives to addiction. This is why you should never ignore suspicions you have about your loved one using drugs. Never follow advice telling you to wait until they are "ready". No one wants to look back and regret not doing everything possible to save a life. This is why you must act now.
